Meerkat

The Meerkat viewer is an open source application used to access virtual worlds on platforms such as Second Life and OpenSim. It is compatible with Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems.

The Meerkat project is managed by the Open Metaverse Foundation. Pleiades provides a version of this viewer that is designed for teachers and students.
